Audience:

Consultation on this proposal will follow the guidelines established by the Welsh Government and will involve identified interested parties, including school governors, school staff, parents, pupils, local councillors, community councillors, current nursery providers and childminders, Estyn, unions, Assembly Member / Regional Assembly Member, neighbouring authorities and other stakeholders as stated in the School Organisation Code (2013).

Ysgol Parc y Tywyn catchment area. 

Why are we consulting?

To standardise the local authority nursery provision in the areas of Burry Port and Pembrey and to standardise the local authority Welsh Medium nursery provision in the area. Further information in relation to the proposal and the need for the increase in capacity can be found in the attached consultation document.


How to get involved

Consultees are invited to submit any observations in relation to the proposal by returning the pro-forma included within the attached consultation document (Appendix E) or in writing to:

Next steps

A consultation report will be produced and published on Carmarthenshire County Council’s website which will summarise the observations submitted by consultees and Carmarthenshire County Council’s response to these observations.
